The association C R Mackintosh en Roussillon celebrated the Associations’ Christmas which took place on Saturday 16th December 2023 at the Cultural Centre.
The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Interpretation Centre in Port Vendres, located opposite the Cultural Centre on Place Castellane, was open from 10am to 5pm.
Associations set up their stands on the ground floor of the cultural centre.
These included our friends from Vermeille Internationale and La Grande Tapisserie.
Volunteers from the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Association welcomed the day’s visitors to the CRM centre, giving them the chance to tour the centre, sample some Scottish treats and choose some chic, original gifts.
On the programme for the day at 3.30pm: the opening of the temporary exhibition “Our Art Deco setting”.
This exhibition highlights the Art Deco villa that houses the CRM centre on the ground floor.
It explains the villa’s Art Deco style, the floor plan of the building, its history and the career of its architect, Joseph Bertier….
