2023
After the winter break and for this new 2023 season, the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Interpretation Centre in Port-Vendres will reopen its doors on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1pm to 5pm from WednesdayÂ
15th February 2023
This new centre, located on Place Castelane near the Vauban Theatre, was inaugurated on 2nd September 2022.
The year 2023 is the two hundredth anniversary of the creation of the commune of Port-Vendres and the hundredth anniversary of the arrival of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald in Roussillon.
It was in fact in 1923 that the couple arrived in Roussillon to rest.

Under the spell of our region their holidays turned into extended stays and Charles Rennie quickly developed his watercolour talents.
They probably spent the happiest years of their lives in this beautiful region.

Do follow the festivities that will be held to celebrate these events
