The President and members of the Board of Directors of the CR Mackintosh Association in Roussillon wish you an excellent 2025.
We would like to thank all of you, members, partners and the municipalities of Amélie-les Bains, Bélesta and Port-Vendres, who, thanks to your financial support and commitment, have made it possible to organize a number of cultural events to promote the work of the artist couple Margaret and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
An additional thank you goes to those who participated in financing part of the stained glass window that you will soon discover in the Port-Vendres Centre (€1,000 donation).
The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the creation of our Association was very well attended: the exhibition of the works of one of its founders, Ian Scott, a Scottish painter, at the Port-Vendres media library in particular. Our three Interpretation Centres welcomed a record number of visitors.
To celebrate CHRISTMAS in the Port-Vendres Centre, Clara Silber presented and commented to the large audience there a new exhibition dedicated to the artist and wife of Charles: Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. This exhibition will remain on display in the Centre throughout 2025.
In 2025, we will continue to offer you as rich a programme of events as possible by adding “Mackintosh” conferences in other towns in our department.
Our team of volunteers is in great need of expansion. We are looking for people, young and old, to join us to help in the centre and with the organization of our events.
