It has almost become a tradition. Twice a year, Claire Muchir, curator of the Collioure Museum of Modern Art, kindly invites the members of our association to a personalised guided tour of the current exhibition.
On 23rd September, a dozen of our members, all curious about art in all its forms, gathered at the Collioure Museum of Modern Art. Pauline Galan, the museum’s mediator, enthusiastically took us on a journey running between Matisse’s work and the echoes that can be found in the creations of contemporary artists: painting, sculpture, weaving, mixed media. All these works celebrate light and joy in their own way. The highlight of the visit was a tour of the exhibition of sculptures by ceramicist Claire Lindner in the cloister and on the ground floor, which was admired by all.
Thank you to Claire and Pauline for allowing us to share this moment around these works. Pauline’s rich and relevant comments and the friendly drinks that followed made this encounter a very special event that will remain in our memories.
